In a resent press conference President Obama stated that they believe “now that Health Care is passing they can get back to making life better for Americans”.  It appears that behind that statement is that they want to get back to deciding what is good for Americans. This is where the difference between myself and many Americas differ from the current administration.  I want Washington to give me the freedom to make life better for myself, not decide what is better for me.

Personally I am a conservative liberal.  On many issues I find that I believe in a liberal frame of mind and on many others issues  I am extremely conservative.  I also find that many of my associates, friends, and family differ in my views on many issues.  I think this is great and what this country was founded on and the government should keep it’s nose out of it.

I believe Washington needs to stay out of the business of legislating morals.  My values are my own.  My neighbors values are different.  It is absolutely imperative that we live our lives in alignment with our values.  That is an individual assessment, not a government dictate.

Washington needs to stay out of the business of limiting the success of Americans. This Robinhood mentality of stiffing the successful for the sake of elevating the unsuccessful has been a fairy tale that doesn’t work in the real world.  The economics is that at some point the rich will run out of money and you can’t keep printing more money without some sort of value behind it.

So in short, to give American’s a secure future and a better life, give them encouragement, motivation and opportunity to be successful and they will.

2.  Beef up Your Password

Sometimes setting passwords and remember them is one of the harder things we do, but it is one of the most important thing we do.  Protecting our personal information from cyber predators is critical in keeping our identity secure.  I suggest using strong passwords.  You don’t need 500 individual passwords, you just need a few that are good.  Here are a few rules to follow:

• Use letters and numbers from a phrase that is meaningful to you.
• Add special characters.
• Mix upper case characters with lower case characters.
• If you don’t us the first or last characters of the phase it is harder to break. Develop your own formula.  Remember the formula and the phase.
• It should always be at least 7 characters, but longer is better.

Here is an example (for your safety be original. Don’t use this example)

• Phase: “I always forget my stinking password”
• Formula is:
• exchange the character I for !,
• Use 2nd letter of words in phase.
• Capitalize odd letters (1st, 3rd, 5th…).
• There are 22 characters in the phase. I’m using the numbers of the total after every 2nd word.

Password:  !Lo2Yt2A – (Use any formula you like, just remember your formula).

This may seem complicated, but if you become consistent you will remember it very easily. Just be careful to not make it so complicated that you spend most of your waking hours resetting your passwords, because you will start to get lazy and make your passwords to easy for you to remember (i.e. password1) and it will be easy for someone to hack.

After spending the better part of the last year trying to figure out how to best share my feelings and thoughts, expanded my social presents, and igniting an online business plan, I have decided that I have an organized a relatively sound business strategy for implementing the infrastructure necessary to migrate a online hobby into an online business. 

While most of this is my spin on the approaches and tools, I can not take a lot of credit for inventing any of this.  This is through the had work of many of the Internet world’s most brilliant minds.

Following are the key components:

1. Domain Name

5.  Have a Business Plan

Below are Bob Parsons’ 16 rules for success.  Rule # 1, "Get and stay out of your Comfort Zone" is one the rules that has had a huge impact on me personally.  I have tended in the past to try to avoid situations that were not natural for me, however i found attacking your weakness is the best way to eliminate that weakness.  You can go to Bob Parson’s Blob for a complete explanation of the rules and even purchase a poster for you wall as a reminder. 

In short here are the Bob’s 16 Rules:

10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate.
11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you’re doing.
12. Never let anybody push you around.
13. Never expect life to be fair.
14. Solve your own problems.
15. Don’t take yourself too seriously.
16. There’s always a reason to smile.

Find it. After all, you’re really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother.

These are 5 major components.  There are lots of specifics and lot to learn, but following these steps and components will be a great start to.  As Bob states “Never Give up” .

We all have our reality, however if find that we all share these “29 truly realistic view about life” from Gail Grindstaff.

1. I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto” routing option.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger.
4. The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase “Regards” again.
5. There is a great need for sarcasm font.
6. Sometimes, I’ll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.
7. How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
8. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
9. I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
10. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.
11. Was learning cursive really necessary?
12. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
13. How many times is it appropriate to say “What?” before you just nod and smile because you still didn’t hear what they said?
14. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!
15. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
16. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
17. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
18. I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t at least kind of tired.
19. Bad decisions and bad experiences make good stories.
20. Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier and sluttier every year?
21. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you’ve made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day.
22. There’s no worse feeling than that millisecond you’re sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
23. I’m always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
24. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
25. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers. But no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.
26. Sometimes I’ll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
27. It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.
28. I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
29. and last but not least, Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey, but I’d bet my life everyone can find and push the SNOOZE button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time.

I’ve take the liberty of removing the specifics about black America here and just reference America.  I don’t think the problem here is racial.  It social.

Six  years ago I wrote a book called Uncle Sam’s Plantation. I wrote the book to tell  my own story of what I saw living inside the  welfare state and my own transformation out of  it.
I said in that book that indeed there  are two Americas — a poor America on socialism  and a wealthy America on  capitalism.

I talked about  government programs like Temporary Assistance  for Needy Families (TANF), Job Opportunities and  Basic Skills Training (JOBS), Emergency  Assistance to Needy Families with Children  (EANF), Section 8 Housing, and Food  Stamps.

A vast sea of perhaps  well-intentioned government programs, all  initially set into motion in the 1960s by  Democrats, that were going to lift the nation’s  poor out of poverty.

A benevolent Uncle  Sam welcomed mostly poor Americans onto  the government plantation.  Those who  accepted the invitation switched mindsets from  “How do I take care of myself?” to “What do I  have to do to stay on the  plantation?”  Instead of solving economic  problems, government welfare socialism created  monstrous moral and spiritual problems — the  kind of problems that are inevitable when  individuals turn responsibility for their lives  over to others.

The legacy of American  socialism is our blighted inner cities,  dysfunctional inner city schools, and broken  black families.

Through God’s grace, I  found my way out. It was  then that I understood what freedom meant and  how great this country is.

I had the  privilege of working on welfare reform in 1996  which was passed by a Republican controlled  Congress.

I thought we were on the road  to moving socialism out of our poor communities and replacing it with  wealth-producing American  capitalism.  But, incredibly, we are  now going in  the opposite direction.

Instead of poor   America on socialism becoming more like rich  American on capitalism, rich America on  capitalism is becoming like poor America on socialism.

Uncle Sam has welcomed our  banks onto the plantation and they have said,  “Thank you, Suh.”

Now, instead of  thinking about what creative things need to be  done to serve customers, they are thinking about  what they have to tell Massah in order to get  their cash.  There is some kind of irony  that this is all happening under our first black  president on the 200th anniversary of the  birthday of Abraham Lincoln.

Worse,  socialism seems to be the element of our new  young president. And maybe even more troubling,  our corporate executives seem happy to move onto  the plantation.  In an op-Ed on the  opinion page of the Washington Post,  Mr. Obama is clear that the goal of his trillion  dollar spending plan is much more than short  term economic stimulus.

“This plan is  more than a prescription for short-term spending  — it’s a strategy for   America’s long-term  growth and opportunity in areas such as  renewable energy, healthcare, and  education.”

Perhaps more incredibly,  Obama seems to think that government taking over  an economy is a new idea. Or that massive growth  in government can take place “with unprecedented  transparency and accountability.”

Yes,  sir, we heard it from Jimmy Carter when he  created the Department of Energy, the Synfuels  Corporation, and the Department of  Education.  Or how about the Economic  Opportunity Act of 1964 — The War on Poverty — which President Johnson said “…does not merely  expand old programs or improve what is already  being done. It charts a new course. It strikes  at the causes, not just the consequences of  poverty.”

Trillions of dollars later,  poverty is the same. But families  are not, with triple the incidence of  single-parent homes and out-of-wedlock  births.

It’s not complicated.  Americans can accept Barack Obama’s invitation  to move onto the plantation. Or they can choose  personal responsibility and freedom.  Does  anyone really need to think about what the  choice should be?

Dear Congressman John Shadegg,

I have been listening to the talk about the health care plan and death panels, and cost, and whether the government should manage our health care, but from my stand point we are missing the point. A government funded heath care plan is totally UNSUSTAINABLE not to mention we’ve got bigger fish to fry.

I believe the government needs to focus on social programs that are sustainable and that will build our future.

If you give me health care and I’ve got no job, I’m still hungry and broke. If you give me a job, I have the option to have health care or food, or kids education, or whatever I as a free American decide to have. To me that is freedom. I think it is not about taking care of the less fortunate, it is about choice.

If you go to the local Southwest Job Network meeting and say to that 1500 attendees “I’ve got a billion dollars in my hand and I can give you free health care or I can give you a job” you will hear a resounding JOB!. If you look at the demographics of the unemployed right now it is not some guy looking for his next bottle of wine, it is laid off construction workers, project managers, shop supervisors, real estate people, human resources, and secretaries.

The Obamakins say “every one has a right to have affordable insurance”. I say everyone should have a choice to have a job. That was the case up until this last year. You could always find a fast food place to go to work if you need to. But that is not the case today. There are now several thousand people that just want to work and earn there way.

A health care program will just make the people of this country more dependent on the government. Jobs or education will make this country and its people stronger with a vision for the future.

The infrastructure of this country is crumbling. Bridges out of date, sewer systems out of date, water systems out of date, the levees in Sacramento, CA are within a small earthquake or large storm from causing a catastrophic disaster to the LA basin and Sacramento. There is an endless number of opportunities for our government to put people to work on total sustainable programs that will invest not only in this generation, but future generations. This to me is the major point in this whole debate.

So help American take back it freedoms and build a strong base for this country to move forward. Stop this health care waste and lets get the eye on the future of America.

So I know the Obama people say anyone that is talking again health care is a plant, trust me I am not a plant . I am a hard working American trying to get our government off the fast track to disaster.
